Having a fully operational fire alarm is a regulatory requirement for those premises that need them, which is why regular testing and servicing is important. Weekly checks should be performed by premises managers or competent persons to ensure that the fire alarm system is functioning correctly, faults are recorded and reported to the maintenance company, and staff/residents are familiar with the alarm devices in your premises.
Reducing false alarms and saving you money
There are simple things that can ensure the smooth running of your fire alarm system, whilst helping you to meet your obligations. For example, we recently fitted resettable call points with covers and providing staff training for one of our student lettings customer.
It’s a small job but one that will make a big difference to our customer and their tenants.

✔️Fewer nuisance alarms – covers prevent accidental activation
✔️Reduced callouts – fewer activations AND call points resettable by premises staff
